Description

Wallace Wood: Woodwork Gazette #2 "The End", page 5 (Wood, 1978). This jaw-dropping page has everything a Wally Wood fan could want -- he was at the peak of his powers for these fantastic scenes. Sadly, Wood wasn't well at all when he drew this magnificent page with all the fantasy and erotic elements he clearly loved. Note the swipe in panel 1 from Cannon C11. The full page can be seen in my Cannon Gallery. The overall size of this page measures 14.5" x 23".

Agreed Lars. This is the one of the best pages from the entire storyline. Every page from this story was a beauty but this is the cream of the corp.

I feel like such a piker when I look at your magnificent Wood galleries and collection, I almost want to say, "I'm not worthy!" By this stage in his life and career, Wood had transcended all of his previous drawing accomplishments, and had honed his craft to a razor's edge and to its limit. What a gorgeous and wonderful page of fantasy comic art this is.
