DescriptionMy grail piece and a sincere thank you to fellow collector AB for the opportunity to acquire. Iconic first 20 cent Cap cover, with initial appearance of the Falcon's new threads as well as the debut of Shield's all female combat unit "Femme Force".Cover depicts large, powerful, almost 3-D type pin-up images of the two primary characters, perfectly rendered as only John Romita could capture. Signed by the great one on lower border. Aside from its use for the original 1971 Cap Cover, finished art was re-produced some forty plus years later as the cover image for Marvel Masterworks Captain America Volume #6! Additional image of the final framed & matted original along with copy of colorized finished 1971 cover attached. Social/Sharing |
