Moon Knight on gargoyle by David Finch

Spectacular MoonKnight penciled and inked by David Finch.

I waited 10 h in line to pick this piece up at the Comic Con 2013 in Paris. When I arrived at David desk, there was only 20-30 minutes left before the convention's closing, and I have noticed that David took 1h for each commission. I was quite afraid that David could make a not so detailed sketch to stay on time. After, 30 mm, the chairman of the session asked David to stop sketching. David then invited me to join him in a special room reserved for the artist where David’s colleagues were drinking and had relaxed time. David was certainly tired after this very busy day, but he was very professional and found a new table where he worked seriously at least 30 mm more to finish this amazing piece.

When the piece was finished, David told me that I could have problems with the security staff, because this part of the site was restricted. He then gave me is badge. And I have to admit that I was quite proud to walk on the convention path, David’s badge hanging around my neck.

During all time he was sketching, David was so nice with everybody, always accepting to stop working to sign books for so many people or to make photo for French fans. David is really a nice man and a great professional.

I will always remember this meeting and I will never find words to say how much I appreciate what David did to me. Thanks David
