THE SENTINELS - THE PLANET'S ULTIMATE SUPER-HEROES

First Appearance: The Sentinels #1 (March, 1962):
"The Planet's Ultimate Super-Heroes Do Battle With the Mighty CYBORILLA!"

In this issue, Cyborilla attacks the United Nations building in New York, trying to take over the world ... by due process? At least in his mind it is. Given that his origins are so confused (and confusing), it's no wonder he's a little nuts. Something to do with time travel, possessions and mind transfer (or was it a brain transplant - I'm not sure even he knows!). It just got more complicated over the years, so I'm completely lost as to exactly what he is. What matters is he's a cybernetic gorilla, and therefore awesome! Ahh, the Silver Age. Although a bit silly, he proved a persistent threat over the decades, constantly evolving his cybernetic components and his plans.

The Sentinels form in response to the threat and a comic book legacy is born.

Over the years, they would face many villains, including:
Emulex
Dreadhelm
Guild Nefarious
Chthonak
