DescriptionWhen I originally contacted Alex Garcia for this commission my intent was to use this group shot as a cover recreation for Nova #24,which introduced The New Champions(Nova,Powerhouse,The Comet,CrimeBuster and a very reluctant Diamondhead). I thought the background(including this super cool Sphinx cosmic head shot),was so good I am going to leave this as a pin-up. Nova #24 was the issue that brought the group together who would later continue on to issues of the Fantastic Four and Rom after Nova's own book was cancelled.Alex did a super job bringing this group back to life(literally,as all members of the group,with the exception of Nova, were slain by Nebula on her attack of the Xandarian homeworld. I particularly like the grimace on Diamondhead and CrimeBusters Rope Gun. My thanks to Alex. I do plan on having this colored. Hope no one minded the Nova history lesson. Social/Sharing |

Thank you for the history lesson there were two characters in there I did not recognize.
Great commission, I miss there kinds of character designs.
