DescriptionWhat a wonderful masterwork painted by Spanish illustrator Antonio Bernal in 1970 for Jabato Collection entitled ¡KIMBERLAN!. The plasticity, grace and harmony of this illustration are simply wonderful. Bernal era un auténtico maestro y sus portadas son siempre un soplo de aire fresco, en muchos casos son ya portadas míticas. La miopía de las editoriales y de mucha mas gente hizo que parte de estas obras de arte hayan sido destruidas en mayor o menor medida. Por suerte, unos cuantos nos esforzamos para reparar en lo posible estas atrocidades culturales cometidas. Antonio nos dejó el 28 de septiembre de 2013, yo tuve la inmensa satisfacción de conocerle.Social/Sharing |

Bernal era un artista con mayúsculas, parece mentira que alcanzase en sus portadas cotas tan altas de calidad teniendo en cuenta la velocidad con la que trabajaba por necesidades editoriales. Nadie era capaz de hacer eso. Esta portada es simplemente una obra maestra, la cuadriga es maravillosa.

El color y la energía del movimento de los caballos es de una gran belleza; y el contraste entre la escena principal y el horizonte, simplemente perfecto. Gracias por compartirla.
