Description

While I personally love and prefer the Wildstorm characters of the 90s Image era, simply because they were better drawn and written, I have a fondness for all of the characters and studios of the early Image days. And yes that include Liefeld’s Extreme studio stable of characters.

So I was interested in the Extreme revival last year out of which Prophet and Glory emerged as the obvious winners in terms of quality.

Glory was intelligently written and incredibly drawn by Ross, an artist I was aware of for his cult Wet Moon title but that I had yet to read.

I believe he elevated his art on Glory, providing for the required violence and dynamism.

So I’m very pleased to own this amazing cover which wowed me when I saw in in the solicitations.

The feeling of gigantism, the despair that should ensue considering the size of her opponent, and the simple yet striking composition, enhanced by the color palete (see the other picture) all make for a fantastic cover in my opinion. I also love the details like the runes on the beast's teeth.

Very glad they’re collecting the serie in hardcover. Do yourselve a favor and pick it up, it's a great read :)
