Description

I am a big fan of Captain Carrot, so I was very excited to find out Scott Shaw! was going to be at the Motor City Con. I quickly decided I wanted an homage to the first Superman vs Spider-Man crossover. But who to have him fight? Spider-Ham?

While not as widely known as Spider-Ham, I have a fondness for Scott's character Webster Weaver. As far as I know, he's only appeared once, in a backup story in the original What If #8 entitled "What If The Spider Had Been Bitten By A Radioactive Human?" It was a great story, and I always remembered it, so that made the choice of Man-Spider a no-brainer.

This one has travelled a bit. I commissioned it from Scott in Detroit. He didn't have time to finish it at the show, so he took it home to California to finish. Then he brought it to Cincinatti, where my buddy Dave picked it up. I picked it up from Dave at a show in Columbus a couple of weeks later, and now it's home in PA with me! So thanks Dave, and of course thanks to Scott.
