Description

The image was used as the back cover to Junkwaffel #2, with the text "Gook babies got entrails." and "Noshit." written above the helmets. The text below picture is reproduced on the inside front cover of the comic book. On the back it has written "JW2 COVER D Art centered on 7x10 white area. Dementions of Art itself 6 1/2 x 8 3/5" Vaughn Bode April 1971" so I don't know if Vaughn originally intended it for the cover, back cover as printed or back cover but with his text.

While this wouldn't pass the litmus test for politically correct humor today... Bode sure had a way with words in his time... Beautiful colors and stunning work from a time when creativity flourished and a lot of us saw it for what it was... Poignant humor!
