Description

While delivering a great run at DC Comics that included the Eisner winning Tiny Titans, Bill Batson and the Magic of Shazam, and Superman Family Adventures, Art Baltazar and Franco Aureliani decided to open a comic shop, Aw Yeah Comics in Skokie, IL.

They didn't stop there, they wanted a comic book series that matched their shop's style. So, they decided to start Ah Yeah Comics! featuring their creations Action Cat and Adventure Bug.

The team turned to Kickstarter to fund the comic series. One of the perks for support was a page from issue 0 - an digital only issue. You can see that perk - a page from the Polar Cycle story by Frano - here.

I also selected a second perk - kind of a hassle on Kickstarter - a painting from Art. I chose Action Cat the star of the book. This is sort of like having Joe Shuster paint Superman for you. :)
