A great and iconic cover by master cover artist, Dave Johnson.

The Mighty is also, like Miracleman, a god somewhere or Irredeemable, a deconstruction of the uber man myth. Splendid writing by Peter Tomasi, a writer whose work I love, and great art by Samnee and Snejberg, not to forget Johnson's ever great covers.

I think Johnson captured the feeling of the Superman lashing out and going bad against his surroundings excellently. You feel dread and power at the same time in this cover. He also managed to use the character in a very iconic way, streamlining him so it could basically be any flying super human. The way he punches the rubbles and the form of the impact in it also enhances the figure.
