DescriptionSuperman has always been my favorite character. My mother tells me one of my first words was "ooperman", and there's no doubt the Christopher Reeve films were formative to my childhood. And, of course, anyone who's seen my gallery can tell you Superman For All Seasons is my all-time favorite comic.For all those reasons, this piece means a lot to me. However, it means even more because I was lucky enough to call Tim a friend. It's still kind of crazy to think my artistic hero befriended me. But a core group of us formed a bond on Tim's old message board that blossomed into friendships I cherish to this day. So, when I look at this piece, I don't just see an absolutely majestic image of the Man of Steel. I also see the countless cons, dinners and baseball games spent in the company of good friends. This 11x17 beauty is simply stunning to behold in person, and my eternal gratitude goes to Tim for offering this one to me before putting it on the open market. What's more, knowing how important Superman is to me, he slipped in a personalization before he shipped it off that makes it even more meaningful now that he's gone. Social/Sharing |

Not much more to say than what has already been stated. You have best Tim Sale Superman collection I seen hands down. I look foward to seeing how you try to top this one Jared.

Jared, Just thought you'd like to know that this is actually published in a terrific book called "Studio Space". In the book, the authors interview artists like Jim Lee, Bolland, Miller, and many others. This is in Tim's section. I recommend the book highly, which is available on Amazon.

I usually don't like Tim Sale's depiction of Superman...
but I gotta say this is Super (pun intended).
