Description
Another unexpected find. This is a sketch sheet by Roy Krenkel. This is done in ballpoint. These seem to be layouts/prelims for a John Carter type image. On the back is a larger piece too which you can see in additional images. Not signed but the style and work is more than a signature unto itself.

I love the pencil-thin rapier of Krenkel's swordsmen. This is a great prelim -- fortunate that it is not cut up and obliterating the fullness of the art on whichever side was not the focus of the person who could have excerpted it.
