I remember picking up this issue at my local comic shop when it came out. The best $1.50 I ever spent! Readers knew they were going to get an absolute thrill ride that started before cracking open the issue with the insane wrap around cover and a story so epic it couldn't be contained in a single double-sized issue!

This is the final page to New Mutants Special Edition #1. I suppose Adams was reaching his fill with drawing everyone's favorite x-babies because he wrote in pencil in the upper right corner of the page "The Last Stinkin' Page." Also, as was typical for pages for this issue, Adams noted the date he finished penciling the page in the lower right corner, the date is 4-9-85.

Cool page - that I USED to own. Don't forget the crazy PCR (P. Craig Russell) hidden in the flying critter. Don't miss it it all that much, but boy are these pages now highly coveted. Way to go Constant.

After reading this story and soaking in that fantastic art, who wouldn't be ecstatic that the story not only continues but that Adams is at the helm? No one!
