Description

Just about the time that Cerebus was going to launch, in late 1977, Dave Sim was working through some other super-hero and adventure ideas. These were the "Blue Dynamo," "Masque," and an anthology book called "Revolt 3000." Revolt 3000 featured "Raven and Trout," "The Hybrid," "Crimson Alpha," and "Stargazer One." All of the original art for this collection of stuff surfaced, except for the splash pages from R&T, Crimson, and Stargazer, and all but one page of a second R&T story. I grabbed all of it and wrote to Dave about it. I got a nice letter back that filled in some of the history. And in exchange for good copies of the original art he could file into the Archive, I got back the color sketch for the proposed covers for "Blue Dynamo" and "Revolt 3000," and nice photocopies of the character books, concept sketches, the plots, as well as photocopies of what he had of the missing pages. So between us, we now have the only complete set of these materials, and I am holding the art.
