Description

Vixen, a JLA team member, makes her debut in this 1978 story that pre-dates her 1st appearance in DC continuity in Action Comics #521 (1981). This story was published in the infamous Cancelled Comic Cavalcade #2, a black and white publication that printed some insanely cool stories that were never published as originally meant. Originally intended to be published as Vixen #1, the story was scrapped in the DC implosion of the era and later published in the previously mentioned CCC #2. Historically speaking, Vixen was meant to be the very first African American Female DC super hero. This page (16) is from the 1978 story that pre-dates Vixen's recognized appearance by 3 years!
