Description...or maybe it's not "THE END"!!! After readying my copy of "Superman: Doomed #1", I saw Mr. Lashley was scheduled to appear at Wizard World Atlanta two weeks later. Took off Friday from work, drove for three hours through the summer thunder storms and Atlanta traffic. Arrived two hours before Wizard World was to shut down that day. Paid $45.00 to get in for two hours of show. Wandered around despondently as I didn't see Mr. Lashley in the artist alley, and then I spotted him. As the old hunting saying goes, "Sometimes you get tha' bear, and sometimes tha' bear charges you a thousand dollars for a double splash page". Like the other saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it".I'm paraphrasing of course. This is another one of those pages I was so excited to find that I really did not examine it that closely. This thing has a lot going on in it!!! I think I may have ripped Mr. Lashley off now that I look again (shhhhh!!!). Starting at the top left, you have the crescendo from Superman being pummeled to death, up to victory as Doomsday is ripped apart, then the decrescendo as he is infected by the Doomsday spores and once again goes down. I also have not heard any great uproars from the fan boys to the obvious fact Superman killed here, although I have a feeling that is going to be retroactively removed some way as I am predicted the way the spores will be removed from Superman is they remove Doomsday proper from him. I've got to say the story is at least interesting so far, and making Doomsday more of a Galactus type threat by sucking the life out of everything around him did make him closer to living up to his name. Very impressive !! This DPS was the highlight of the issue (which was great all around) ! I now only fear that with your continued enthusiasm, all of us other Doomsday art collectors are, well, doomed !

I had only been at Wizard World 10 minutes when I found him, walk around for 5 more minutes, realized I spent all my money and left. He also told me he will be drawing some of the art for Superman: Doomed #2, so if you can track him down, you can still get some. As far as me buying any more I'm oh, what's the word I'm looking for now...sans cash, low on liquidity...here it is...BROKE!!!

Of course, it better not be something I want too!!! On a serious note, I'll be heading to San Diego Comic Con next month, so if you aren't going and are looking for something in particular, I can add it to my list.

Back in 2002, he was asking $6,000 for one of the leser pages. No telling what he is asking now, but his email address was MICKKNIT@aol.com.
