Description

Val drew this rendition of the climactic battle between the Devourer of Souls and Conan back when he was working on the interiors of Conan the Barbarian #200.

He drew it without getting paid and sent it into the Marvel editors hoping they would use it as the cover.

They decided to go with the William Johnson cover and this one was returned to Val.

Another treasure from Val's personal collection that I managed to convince him to sell me.
