DescriptionA few years ago I discovered Jim Cheung's work and was blown away. Cool style, great storytelling, good page design. He was the full package. And he seemed to only be getting better and better with each passing year.I'd been looking for a page for a while and loved the Illuminati book, so when this page popped up I chased:) His work was still relatively affordable at the time and this only cost a grand. I think it's one of the best pages from the whole series, all the primary characters(except Black Bolt), all doing their thing, Skrulls attacking. Everything I could dream of!! I especially love the thought put into the smaller panels below...all 11 of them...Mr. Fantastic becoming a big ball, a Skrull nailing Iron Man with a hammer, etc. A lot of artistic effort was put into this DPS. The piece was also used as the frontispiece in the TPB. Social/Sharing |

Cheung's artwork is among my very favorite, of any generation. The layouts, his line work and effects....hard to beat. Scary thig is he seems to only be getter better and better. This piece is an awesome example of Cheung and Morales' talent

The best part about Jim, and I've had him at my house here in boston, is that he's an awesome guy! Awesome!! I used to buy every cover of Scion he and Don did. every month i'd buy them. I loved his work then and he's soooo much better now. this piece rocks!!!
