Description
In my 15+ years of commissioning art, there have been a few constants. One of them is that I always go back to Val Semeiks to pencil a commission. Another is that I will always go back to Bob Almond to ink a commission. Here, those two constants come together.

What more need be said? Top notch penciler + top notch inker = top notch commission. Its that simple. Thanks to both Val and Bob for another superb art experience!

Bob was clearly born to ink Val. This is one great lookin' piece o' art Damon!

A question that shoulda come to me when I was looking at the original pencils but, was it your idea or Val's to have Bee-Man knocked off and spinning like that? Fits him to a "t" :D

Kev, I actually told Val that I was not going to include Bee-Man on this piece because I thought he was too silly-looking. Val convinced me to include him and said he'd depict him in such a way where his appearance would be appropriate, and so he did!

Bee-Man is clearly Harvey's Speedball / Ambush Bug. I have to admit that I'm with Val on this one. I'm glad he got to be in there. Val worked it perfectly (as is his wont :) ).

Congrats again dude :)

The difference is, Speedball and Ambush Bug are intentionally light-hearted, somewhat silly characters. I don't think Bee-Man was intended to be, but is.

If I ever do get a commission from Val Semeiks(and I'm sure I will),I's a certainty that Bob Almond does the inking. Really like how this turned out Damon.

Remember when comics were fun? Val Semeiks, Bob Almond, and commission collecting legend Damon Owens certainly do. This piece just makes me grin from ear to ear.

Another excellent pencil drawing improved by Bob Almond. Bee-Man reminds me of an out of control Parademon here. Always love working with Val and your gallery always makes me want to start working with Bob.

Thanks for all of your kind and supportive comments, friends, and to my ever-loyal patron and cheerleader, Damon! FYI, in July I'll be in-between projects and will be catching up on commissions that have been on hold from some very patent clients (including several for Damon);-) For a very short period I will open the gates for a limited amount of commissions, an option that has been mostly closed for the past year. Please check in with me if you are interested and want me to give a quote for an image at [email protected] Thanks! Bob Almond

I will be resuming commissions in 10-14 days so please contact me if you are interested as the list will only be open for about a month and I may need to cap it at any time due to too many requests. Please email me asap at [email protected]
