Description

I first ran into Mike Maihack's work on some web comics that he did featuring Supergirl and Batgirl. For what it's worth, I really like the one where SG changes uniforms in each panel.

Anyway, Leann Sukman at my LCS, Bedrock City Comic Company recommended the all ages book Cleopatra in Space to me because she knows I enjoy that style of book, e.g., Ben Hatke's Zita books.

I bought the book, read it,and enjoyed it so when I saw Mike would be at Heroes Con 2014, he became a target for a commission request.

After arranging to get a Cursed Pirate Girl drawing done by Jeremy Bastian, I headed to Mike's table. I think he was somewhat surprised to have a late 50's guy ask for a commission, but he rallied and agreed. This is that piece.

I'm quite happy with it.
