DescriptionTiming is everything. Rob Shalda asked me last week when I posted chapter 18 if I chose the Brave & Bold cover because it featured the Phantom Stranger. That was an odd coincidence but this week was truly serendipitous . The very week I looked for a cover to move the story-line along, a trip to the comic store yielded this ( and next week's Chapter 20 )New 52 gem.It belongs to a " Trinity War " crossover event but could have easily have been made for " A Metallic Messiah ". A few changes such as Rond Vidar and Sensor Girl dispatching the ghosts of Kid Quantum & Earth 2 Robin back down to the stygian depths and we had a winner. Russ' dusted off my Soul Searchers tagline and Chapter 19 was done. Creatively this was one of the easiest to come up with ..but still Trevor VonEeden put a whole lot of work into it. They have found the spirit of Ferro Lad but how do they bring him home ? Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Trevor packed a lot of details & extra characters into this while still staying remarkably faithful to the original cover

I agree with Kevin. I'm not really into the New 52 DC books,but just having Trevor's cool versions of Blok and Sensor Girl put's this over the top of the original! Well done!

I am a sucker for classic covers as this series shows but I think CGI technology & graphic design advancements have produced some pretty amazing comic cover visuals in the last few years
