I remember this early crossover series well from my young fanboy days. The climax was notable, as it hinged on an omnipotent entity being incapable of counting to four!

Putting that silliness aside, I really liked the book and was hoping to come across a CoC cover someday. Considering that there are only three out there, I'm kind of shocked that I actually got one!

You'll notice that the art has been colored in. This was not part of the production process, but rather was done at a later date. I've heard that it might have been done by Hannigan himself, but that's unconfirmed. It's an unfortunate, but not unforgivable, condition issue.

Update: A collector contacted me to confirm that Hannigan is, indeed, the colorist. Many thanks, David!

I think this is great! In my opinion, it's a one of a kind piece, whether it has missing word balloons, white out, pasted in panels, etc… and if it what you want you have no choice but to love it in any condition it's in.

Coloring was a bit of a fad in the 80's…part of the provenance --congrats on a great pick-up!

At first I thought it was the official color guide ..I am not generally a fan of colored original art but this was well done and very true to the published version. Nice pick-up.
