Description

Nexus's girlfriend Sundra and her feline bestie Jill getting physical for the first time in a Solar Sailboat.

This is a very memorable moment for me. When I first read it it was the first time the subject of same sex sex ever came up in a comic. There were gay comics (I'm sure there still are) and gay sex was covered very graphically during the Underground Comix movement in the 70's but to see it in a somewhat mainstream Superhero comic was a shock to my virgin eyes.

The last panel has Jill's face covered with whiteout. "The Dude" must have decided he could do better and redid her face on a now missing sheet. I will investigate.

This is a wonderful page. I also remember being startled, and pleased, to see sex handled relatively openly and artfully in this issue.
