Description

I recently learned that Mark Pennington, who I knew as an Inker at Marvel comics, had worked for Hasbro on GI Joe in the late 80's. When I talked to him about drawing in my Joe book, not only was he happy to, he shared a ton of great stories from his time designing figures. For example, getting to visit a local SWAT Team to get an up close look at the gear and equipment they used, in the real world! It was a pleasure to meet him and I have this intense sketch of the Joe team's SWAT Officer, too! Cleveland Comic Con
