I finally have an Elektra by Bill Sienkiewicz! Finally! And this one is unlike others I've seen. The softness, fragility of it...so awesome compared to the strength, brutality of others (not that I don't dig those, too :).

And don’t be fooled by the signature across the bottom, this is an 11x17 piece!

Like my latest Bats by Bill, this comes with the same story, coming to me by way of a new friend in collecting. I've read numerous times on this site, the coolest thing about this hobby, passion, obsession, is the people we meet, artist or collector. And while he and I have never met, we were able to strike a deal. He has a piece of mine that I had on my wall for 20 years...I was willing to entertain serious offers only. He came to me with an offer, and the fact he had been searching for it, that it had been a longtime dream of his to own it...even though it may have been less than market value, I felt good, very good, about doing the deal.

He made his dream come true! And I was able to help, get some cash to further help my new car down payment, and get some great art.

So...Tyler, man, thanks again! I know you'll read this, so, just sayin'. Again. And there's one more coming!

This is the Sienkiewicz that I prefer: intimate, creative and soft. Amazing piece indeed!!!
