Description

I’ve been looking for the “right” Peanuts daily. I’ve seen a few that I liked and resonated with me, but I always seem to miss out on those. So, this one fills a hole in my collection. It’s from the right time period (for me, it’s the mid 60’s, and this one is from July of 1966) and from a great storyline where Lucy and Linus’ parents take away the TV because they are always fighting for control. The story line went on for a week, but this daily featured Lucy screaming and Linus with his blanket; it’s a great image, it’s from a great time in the strip, and I’m thrilled to give this one a new home. By the way, I haven’t seen one of these in person. They are huge!

So great! I love Peanuts! I've never seen one in person, but got the book reprinting the art this year, and if it's somewhat close to the same size, you're right, they are huge, bigger than other comic strip art I've seen. Congrats on a great pickup!

Awesome. A great peanuts daily. The image of Lucy in the last panel is priceless.

A great example Ron from a peak period of this iconic strip... and its message is the same today...for most of us we'd die without our phones and computers!!

Good grief. I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking the same thing. We're doomed.

1966, 2006, and a safe assumption for 2016 - the classics always work

What a great example--and, like the best of the Peanuts strips--a timeless joke/cultural observation. The 1960s is definitely my favorite period of Schulz as well, for both his artwork and his sense of humor. Congrats on acquiring a true piece of Americana!

Good grief! How did I miss this gem being added to your fabulous collection? Great gag that may resonate even more strongly now than ever!

Ha-ha! that's so true on a winter day when you're a kid. Charles said so much about life in his strips and his art is a joy to behold.
