Description

As might be apparent, my favourite Judge Dredd story is 'Necropolis'. The culmination of many years-worth of plot threads, I was young enough when it debuted (I would have been about 13) to have been utterly caught up in the story. After 'Tale of the Dead Man' saw Dredd removed from his own strip and replaced with Kraken, I was longing for the return of the genuine Joe to save the day, vanquish the pretender, and free MC-1 from the Sisters of Death.

Prog 685 was the beginning of the comeback - but it didn't just bring back Judge Dredd. It also saw the utterly unexpected and ridiculously exciting return of another notable judge - a judge whose identity Dredd is one guess away from revealing on this very page. But before that came one of my absolute favourite panels in the strip's history, one which would make my 'top five Dredd moments' with ease.

Yup, that's right.

It's in a good home! I never realised how great that page was until you started pointing out how well constructed it is. New can we see the art without the lettering as well :D
