Description

This is the original art for page 2 of Legends #2 which was penciled by John Byrne and inked by the great Karl Kesel. The famous limited series "Legends" ran for six issues between 1986 and 1987 and was part of DC's crossover event of the same name. "Legends" was the first major crossover event in the DC Universe after "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

The page features one of the main villains of the series: Glorious Godfrey. Godfrey is one of the New Gods of Apokolips and at the beginning of "Legends" Darkseid himself sends Godfrey to Earth where he uses the sound of his voice to turn people against Earth's heroes.

The art was created in 1986
