Description

From the 2014 Memphis Comic Expo, Darick Robertson drew this sketch in my copy of The Boys Deluxe Edition Book 1. He asked me who my favorite character was, so I naturally said Billy Butcher. I then commented that the Butcher character reminded me of the great Vinnie Jones, to which Darick told me that Garth Ennis based him on Clive Owen. I had it stuck in my head about Vinnie Jones for so long - even picturing him in my head and "hearing" his voice while reading each issue - the Clive Owen didn't register at first. Now I have to go back and re-read the series again and re-cast in my mind's eye!
