Description

Michael is an incredibly talented artist. I was immediately struck by the tragedy in this piece. The art is absolutely stunning and measures 16" x 24".

Michael said the inspiration for the piece came from a huge koi pond near where he lives. "It's in an area full of museums and trees and such that I like to walk around. So the idea of a mermaid in a koi pond has been in the back of my mind for awhile. The giant fish are from a little knick-knack statue my girlfriend had lying around, I always thought it looked cool and wanted to fit it into a painting."

It's amazing how it all came together so beautifully. I can't begin to thank Michael enough.

I love this, I have the oil painting, so it is great to see the pencils for it. Lovely feel to it.
