The Black Keys: Auerbach & Carney portraits
by Chris Brunner

I met Chris a few years back at Heroes Con when they had just released the FCBD edition of "Loose Ends" on 12-gauge. I flipped through his portfolio and really loved his work and especially liked some small portrait pieces he had with him.

A few years later in 2014, I had the chance to hang with Chris again and asked if he still had the Patrick Carney portrait, which he drew around January, 2011, and luckily he did. I snapped it up and I knew I had to request a Dan Auerbach to accompany the piece and Chris was nice enough to draw it at the Charlotte Mini-Con this past weekend, 1/31/2015.

These were drawn on two separate sheets and are each around the size of trading card. As an added bonus Chris published the Carney piece his "Warm Up" sketchbook, which was released at Heroes Con June 15th, 2018.
