Description

Walt Lee (1888-1980) may be better known as a western painter than a cartoonist, but he was mighty good with pen and ink. He taught cartooning at the Chouinard Art School in the mid-1930s, and then went on to work for both the LA Illustrated Daily News and the LA Times. I don't know which paper this piece was drawn for, but I'd guess it's circa the late 1940s. Just joy-filled pen and ink work.
