I'm not that a fan of the Liefeld Extreme studios stable of characters. But then again when Jason is drawing them, I'm not complaining and I may very well be interested.

And let's be honest, there was so much excitement around Youngblood in the 90s because it was the very first Image comics release.

This pin up was published in the Youngblood Yearbook in 1993. You get the 5 core YB characters. I specially love how Bedrock (as he was called then)is portrayed and the impact of rounds on his impenetrable skin.

The piece features Jason's more angular style from that period. The piece is huge, nearly double sized and showcases the use of zip-a-tone which is always fun if fragile.

This piece was put yearly on eBay for 2 or 3 years before I finally snatched it last year. So it's been a long time coming :)

2018 update: the art was also reprinted in b&w in Amazing Heroes Interviews 2 (1993) which featured an article on Gaijin studio members.
