DescriptionThis is an example of commission gone wrong and then right. First off Paris Alleyne, who I discovered on DA, really did an outstanding job on the art. The only problem I had with the commission was that he drew the wrong version of Nova. As anyone who knows Nova can see, this is the V4 older version of Richard Rider who's adventures were documented by Abnett and Lanning. That being said, and after some careful deliberation, I decided I liked the piece well enough as is that I didn't bother Paris with the mistake that was made( My instructions may not have been as specific as they could have been either). Being used to "Original" Nova cover commissions I had to go outside the box with this one by turning it into a V4 cover. Actually much easier, as most of those covers had few blurbs and word balloons. I took the narcissistic liberty of adding my Name to the cover as was the fashion back in the mid 2000's, being I did the cover work. The story takes place in-between issues 1 and 2 and features the amped-up New and Improved Stilt Man. This happened around Marvel's 50 state Initiatave, but I'm still not sure if Stilt Man is a good guy or bad guy? Pending any other commission mishaps, this is probably the only time I will use this version of Nova in a commission! Enjoy! Social/Sharing |

Very cool. I like this guy.
And you can just start up parallel Nova series! Do your own crossovers ;)
... or you could break out those inks of yours and do some touch up work :)

My inking skills can't change time Kevin! Already working on some parallel Nova stuff with Nova619 and another Nova related project. Paris is quite good,I agree!

You're getting too good at this, Rob! Looks like it came right off the shelf!

Sometimes the best commissions come out of the things that appeared to go wrong !
