I don't remember which was the first Crusaders team-up thing I got. My instinct is to say that it was the original Shield. But whichever one it was I wasn't even intending to make it a theme. I was just a one off cool idea to me. Then it kicked in this could be a whole thing - the Crusaders as I knew them when I started reading with interesting / appropriate counterparts.

This might be the first thing I got from TJ. Someone who's right up there now with Mitch Ballard as a favorite artist. A great artist and a great guy on top. Great poses for both guys here and I really like Jaguar's face. He even got the cat face on Jaguar's chest to fit the tone (I've often though how hard it must be to go into battle with a kitty face on your chest). Definitely a couple of guys you don't want to run into in the darkest jungle.

If this were an actual comic, I'd be reserving a copy at my local comic store. Frias nailed it beautifully.

I like this artist and the idea of mixing the mighty crusaders with major characters, cool idea.
