A rare strip of a Dutch cartoonist Georges Mazure.
"Jacqueline" designed between 1960 and 1961 in Utrecht in the Netherlands.

Georges Mazure (Nijmegen, November 19, 1919 - Bussum, February 25, 1980), the Dutch illustrator, publicist and writer, brother of Alfred Mazure also illustrator and filmmaker.

Mazure began his career as an illustrator in the Toonder Studios; also made after 1945 drawings of a political nature for the 'Algemeen Handelsblad, Panorama, Margriet and the Belgian Humo. Morton took the Spot-beeldromanreeks Ben Abas and wrote for them a total of 14 episodes.

He also illustrated the comic book series Horre, Harm and Hella Andries Brandt (in De Telegraaf), and has written and illustrated the comic Myra van Dyk for Het Vrije Volk and ribbons Dolf Steel for the supermarket chain Spar. Many of these strips are then - especially posthumously - published in book form.
In the seventies, he wrote and illustrated comics Mignon and Paula in the magazine Tina.

In the film adaptation of Dick Bos, Murder in the fashion house (for books of his brother Alfred Mazure) from 1943, the first time in 1946.

In addition to comics Georges Mazure has also written a series of children's books interesting: Simmetje (6 volumes), as well as two books of travel between Beirut and Jerusalem sketches with pen and brush (1953) and an ABC bilingual Belgium (1958) . Already during the war had under the pseudonym George Laurent, wrote the humorous novel 13 accidents, which, however, was only in the 50s.

He also created a radio play written. "My daughter Muriel," a comic in many episodes of 20 minutes on average, which was broadcast from 22 May 1973 to the AVRO and directed by Jacques Besan�on.
