I'm not so sure this is the Enemy Ace.
That character was set in World War I, he wore distinctive goggles, had a scar on his face and did not fly a jet as evidenced by the oxygen mask depicted by Russ.
I suggest this is just an illustration of a German pilot who happens to be an ace.
