Description

A very early piece of Jeff Jones pen and ink art (11" x 11.5"). Based on the early full signature, the science fiction/fantasy subject matter, and the style, this art is likely from the early 60s when Jones was drawing for a number of science fiction fanzines (ERBdom, Amra, Trumpet, etc.). A friend of mine who knew Jones in the 70s and is very familiar with his art thought that this is probably one of the earliest known Jones pieces -- likely done before his first published comic work in 1965. Neat to see the early experimenting of a master.
