Darth Vader Prelim Part 04

Someone cue the lightsaber sound effects. It's amazing how something as simplistic as a pencil crayon outline can do versus a runny copic marker. As you can see I've also added some wild grass and extensive work on the upper half of a large tree behind Vader. I used a black copic marker as opposed to more micron ink for Vader's shadow to distinguish the tones from his cape and armor. As for the warm grey ground under Vader, I thought it'd be a cool idea to get across the idea that the Sith Lord is a foreign toxin in the natural world of Kashyyk. That being the case, why not throw in blackened ground where nothing will grow? Also referencing rocks for the large boulder in front of the Wookie Rebel Jedi. More as it develops.
