Description

A beautifully detailed, very finished commission from 2013 by Ed Benes. If I remember Edgar Rice Burroughs' description of Martian women correctly, (and I confess I may not) it was something to the effect of 'naked save for their ornaments', which was certainly racy stuff for 1912. I quite like EB's artwork, but I'm interested more in his commissions rather than his regular comics work. For many collectors, unpublished artwork doesn't appeal, but for me, that's not typically a deterrent; I'm fine with either, regardless of the usage, or lack thereof. Approximately 11.75" x 16.5", ink on bristol. The art bleeds right to the edges.
