DescriptionHere is the original cover to Miracleman #1 - this is the wraparound variant cover by Marvel and it mimicks most of original art teams from the early days:Warpsmith - Garry Leach - the original artist on the book Young Miracleman v Young Nastyman - Garry Leach pencils & Alan Davis inks (which was the next art team on the original books once Garry stopped inking himself) Miracleman - Alan Davis pencils and inks (Alan took over pencils and inks when Garry stopped penciling) Dr. Gargunza and his evil dog - Rick Veitch did some "very special" issues of the original series Miraclewoman & Johnny Bates - John Totleben pencils and inks -- John did a huge and tremendously regarded run on the original series Backgrounds - left side mostly Garry Leach pencils/inks and right side is mostly John Totleben ** Watching the four of these artistic gurus converse about this cover via email and then send it back and forth chit-chatting amongst themselves as they worked on it was truly one of the highlights of my collecting life. The cover was reprinted in the softcover Miracleman: The Original Epic on pages 466-67. Last but not least, please see the bottom for the published cover. Social/Sharing |
