Description

Mike Grell made an appearance at my LCS, Bedrock City Comic Company on the weekend of Alamo City Comic Con 2015. I was excited to have Mike here, but the conflict was a bit of a challenge.

Kathy and I had planned to go to ACCC and spend sometime together on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Originally, we thought we'd go over Friday AM and leave Saturday night, but with Mike coming in we adjusted and went over for the Friday show. That was a good decision - the crowd was smaller and we got to visit more with the artists plus I could drive back to Houston on Saturday and meet Mike.

I decided to get him to do head shots of the three Legion founders to go with my earlier Mordru vs. the Legion commission and my Warlord and Tara pen and ink drawing.

I was really glad to meet him and the piece makes me smile.

Nice pickup, Alex. For me, Grell is synonymous with the Legion.
