DescriptionShowboat Kelly was another one of those features that Ray developed in the 1960s, but never sold to a syndicate. I bought the only three examples that Ray had and they remain among my favorite works by him. The style of drawing is just terrific and he really could draw beautiful women, as evidenced in this panel. I'm also a fan of jazz, so the musicians in the background add to the piece for me.Social/Sharing |

After getting my first Gotto (a Ozark Ike daily), I did a search on Gotto artwork and came across this wonderful piece. I just keep coming back to have another look at this. Very aesthestically pleasing. It's very nice of Ray to let you have this in addition to the other 2 which are also nice but this one is the best. I would love to own this particular piece someday. *sighs dreamily*
