Description

Long story short, I got the original pencil from a fellow collector.
After some time decided to get it inked to 'let the art pop out' a bit more, looked for inker and none more suited that the original series inker, Joe Weems.
Had a chat with him and he agreed to do it since he said that this was the only cover from the series that he didn't have a chance to ink.

Now the finished piece is finally in hand, Joe told me, the art of inking is being lost. I completely agree with him. I tried my best to scan this piece piece but the details are truly only present in the original.

Thank you Joe for agreeing to ink this beautiful piece :)

Now to find a colorist....:D

It's always a treat to see gems like this get inked. They are so impressive in pencil, but I always feel like they need some beautiful inks laid down to make them complete. Glad you were able to get Joe to do it and thanks for sharing! Only thing left to do now is commission someone to color it from these inks so we can enjoy how much better it would have looked had they found the time to do it for production.

I'd highly recommend having Steve Firchow color it. I saw you posted this on Joe's fb as well, so I'll comment and tag Steve. He colored the comic as well so then you'd have the full team on it.

Vincent, I can assure you, I would have done exactly the same thing. And I can just agree with Alex K. and Tatiana D. by choosing Steve Firchow to color it. I have seen a version where Firchow colored the Tomb Raider #1 Finch Variant the way he would have done it, outstanding job.
