Description

Rodger Stern’s run on Amazing Spider-Man and especially this issue is one of my all-time favorites (Stern plot, Mantlo script). If you haven’t read this issue do yourself a favor and pull it out of a dollar bin at a convention.

The last panel sums up the morality play of this issue perfectly; "I saved Stilt-Man's life in there, friend" says Spidey, "and, in return, he didn't take mine. Funny way of evening the odds, huh?" "Yeah" says Martinelli as he watches Stilt-Man disappear, "Funny.”

One of my favorite Spider-Man stories of all time.

The next issue is the first appearance of The Hobgoblin.
