DescriptionUpping the Ante on Jack Kirby is no mean feat, indeed... Giorgio Comolo seems to have made a specialty of that, recreating some of the most grandiose Kirby scenes, displaying them with even more power than the King himself!Of course, at the root of it, there has to be a deep respect for the work of Jack Kirby and for his creations. It looks like Galactus is the cosmic character that inspires Giorgio Comolo the most. So, instead of a recreation, I picked this original creation where a bruised and battered Galactus stands victorious after an epic battle with one of the Celestials, whose immense wreck lies sprayed in the background... It is very clear to me that the spirit of Jack Kirby lives in Giorgio Comolo's art! Let it live long!... Social/Sharing |

Beautiful piece- I love the "cosmic stop-sign" he's sporting. Do NOT mess with "Galactus:Crossing Guard"! Maaan. I want to see Comolo do the Celestials now!

marvelous !!!Thanks Adom! Galactus is such a dominant and majestic figure that he's a natural for such a portrait... Still, Giorgio Comolo does bring him something extra, an epic dimension rarely displayed...
