A PAGE FROM ONE OF THE EARLIEST GRAPHIC NOVELS BY EC MASTER, MAD CREATOR AND ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ARTISTS MOVING FROM THE 50'S INTO THE 60'S, KURTZMAN REALLY LAYED THE GROUNDWORK FOR UNDERGROUND COMICS TO EMERGE. JUNGLE BOOK WAS NOT A COMMERCIAL SUCCESS, BUT IT PLANTED A SEED FOR PEOPLE LIKE WILL EISNER AND OTHERS TO EXPAND THE FORMAT'S POSSIBILITIES.
