DOUGLAS C POTTER Carl Barks Pastiche cover Unused pen and ink cover by Houston comic fan and cartoonist. Doug moved to Austin years ago and later to New Mexico but while a Houston fan he was a close friend and running buddy. He gave me this unused piece (among others) and it has sat in my files for 25 years or more. Should have done something with it. While no longer true early in his career he was firmly in the grip of Barks and Kelly and perfected a lovely style reminiscent of both (or either) but also clearly his own. He has done a great deal of book illustration but likely known mostly in this crowd by his terrific comic for Kitchen Sink Press, DENIZENS.
