A vintage cover by the incredible Adam Hughes. How cool is that?

I realize that this likely not the most desirable JLA cover ever but it’s Adam Hughes and I got it for a steal!

I LOVED the Dematteis & Giffen run with Maguire and Hughes (and a ton of great fill in artists) so I was delighted to find this one.

The design is simple but quite striking. You see this cover on the rack and you’re at the very least intrigued and would want to pick it up and discover why Ice and her pals and stranded on ice in the middle of the ocean. So the “grab the reader’s attention job” is done ;)

I’ve included a second pic with the overlay on (for the ocean’s waves) and a third for the published cover.
